Recent Game Stuff
Jan. 24th, 2026 09:00 pmI'm still playing Honkai and like the gameplay, even though with a Husbando only roster I am struggling to get through any of the endgame content, but Amphoreous seems to have killed my interest in the main story. It wasn't even so much that the plot of amphoreus was bad. Or at least there were elements that were good, and the side quests remain fun, but there was so much padding that I started to dread doing the story quests, and the levels of abstraction and sideways speaking also has hit terminal frustrations levels for me. The latest update also sucked. All this memoria and timey wimey bullshit man. And I don't care about Firefly nor did I enjoy Dalhia's boobs in my face all the time, so I suffered through this update.
On the flip side I love the Eiden-centric events in Nu:Carnival, and I love it when all of the clan members get together for Eiden's sake. So the last event was lovely. Unfortunately Eiden didn't come home and I have to be strict with my resources if I want every single Quincy and the occasional Edmund and Garu.
Google has decided I'm into Heated Rivalry. I haven't watched Heated Rivalry, and probably won't because it's on HBO or something, but I've now been given a lot of shorts and got curious enough that I ended up watching most of the show second hand via a react series. So, I guess it does make sense that those sorts of things keep getting copyright stricken because this is the second live action gay show that I've stealth watched via react vids lol (the first was Red White and Royal Blue). Since I haven't actually seen the show as it was intended to be watched I can't say I have a firm opinion on it. I mostly started looking into it when I found out there was a B plot involving an older player who was having a more immediate closet crisis. But then I found out that he doesn't get all that much attention, like one episode is about him, so my interest disappeared again.
I'm not sure if I'm just in a content rut or if my mood due to IRL issues has made it hard to enjoy much of anything, but I'm in state where I'm casting around for something new to try even though there are many things on my plate I could dedicate some of my time to. My Steam library is not very big but I'm thinking of trying to get rid of some of my to-play list.
Currently on the list is
It's so dry here also that my eyes hurt, so it seems like I'm going to have to break out the humidifier, because I can't even read right now without discomfort!
Other than that I'm thinking about maybe having a new year's resolution. It's usually skip one because I never achieve them anyway, but maybe I need something to focus on this year. Problem is there are a lot of things to be focusing on, some of them pointing in completely different directions. Maybe I'll keep thinking about it and before I know it'll be December again.

Currently on the list is
- Banner Saga 3 (I'd probably start at 1 since it's been a long time)
- Yakuza Kiwami 2
- Pentiment
- Dishonored 2
- LISA
- or Pillars of Eternity
