got_quietThanks to weather I opted to stay a little longer at my family house and now I'm going absolutely stir crazy. There are about 1,000,000 books to read so I'm kinda trying to focus on that but I'm spending so much time on my phone instead. It's awful. Whenever I'm home I rifle through all my old stuff and read my old journals which usually occupies me for a couple of evenings. For a short while I tried to learn to draw so I got some funny 90s anime sketches sitting around, and I have over 30 notebooks stuffed in every book and cranny, most with not a single poem mark on them. I have no pc so I'm just studying Japanese and trying to write but the writing is not going well at all. I feel completely dried up idea wise and don't know what to do about it.
Before I left for home I picked up the game Hades and I love it. The gameplay is hack and slash rogue lite, but there's a layer of writing and relationship management that's satisfying like a VN. And you get to romance death.
It looks like the game got a lot of ships for chocolate box so I'll have to keep an eye on that. McReyes on the other hand is completely absent.
To pass the time I tried playing a little more coc2, but the app interface is awful, basically just a straight clone of the site, plus it cranks the furry up to 11. I'm cool with furry stuff but I want more variety and it's not there. So I gave up and am finally trying out some of the Choice script games on the app store now that everything has been consolidated and you don't need to install a new app for every single story. I'm sticking with the free stuff for now so if anyone has recs I'm open to them.
