Challenge #14: Scavenger hunt

1. a fannish item
I explained to my friend Chiharafuru so last year he gave me a karuta deck for Christmas. I keep thinking maybe I'll start studying the hyakunin isshu with them but... that's actually a lot of work.


2. something round
The closest thing that's round near me is a CD of Between The Buried and Me's Colors II album. They're one of my favorite bands so this was sitting right near the CD drive. Here's the intro track:

My favorite song of theirs is Mirrors which is SIGNIFICANTLY softer, more somber, slower, and a little more prog in sensibility.


3. something that is your favorite color
There isn't much around me that's Green. My mouse glows green so I guess that. (There's literally nothing in my room but my computer, books, and CDs)

4. the last game you played (video, phone, table top, etc.)
Overwatch =x

5. a book you are currently reading
I'm trying, like really trying here, to read a Japanese translation of Les Mis. It's a light novel abridgement so I'm curious about how they adapt it. So far I'm only at the bishop of Digne's house. Here's the cover!

I shuffled my likes on youtube and got a good one!




7. the last movie you watched
I suppose the Mugen Train arch in Demon Slayers has got to be it, even though it's essentially one extremely long episode. Before that I can't even recall the last movie I watched. It's been an extremely long time since I've seen any.

8. TV show you're currently watching
I watch a Japanese TV show called Hiromeshi Tabi, or Lunch Travels, which is just people going to random towns in Japan and asking the locals to show them what they eat for lunch. It's fun and interesting cause they do mini biographies of every day people too, although recently they've mostly talked to people with restaurants which isn't so interesting.

Besides watching that occasionally I'm keeping up with Demon Slayer, and watching a show called Mashiro no Oto which appears to be about a shamisen prodigy getting his mojo back.

9. the homescreen, lockscreen, or desktop wallpaper from your device

I'm pretty sure there's nothing incriminating on here...

My rotating BG folder is about 50% Overwatch, 50% landscapes, and like one badass picture of Kali. This is reminding me that I haven't added any in a while. Maybe I'll go do that tonight. If anyone has nice landscapes (real or illustrated) or other art they think would make nice BGs I can always use more.

Oooh pretty Reaper fanart :3 I'm planning to get into "Chihayafuru" at some point. It's been on my watch list since like 2012, since my last anime club was really into it. I just never got around to it.
